The development of society and the evolution of life

The development of society and the development of life have much in common. Many laws of evolution are valid in both cases. But also fundamental differences. Nature has a lot to learn, since the most advanced mechanisms on the planet are biological systems. But living systems also have disadvantages, the main one is a complex of low speed and limited energy. A living system cannot smelt metals, but primitive technology can.

The end of the democracy

Benjamin Franklin once said:

“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”

Post-capitalism. Part 2 — Is there anything to choose from?

It is immediately clear that there is no obvious alternative. But this does not mean that the capitalism we are accustomed to is preserved. The transition to the 6th technological paradigm, which has already begun, dictates the need for radical changes. But first, let’s look at possible alternatives to capitalism.

Post-capitalism. Part 1 —What is the problem with capitalism?

We are now living in an era of great change. The modern capitalist system is facing a systemic crisis. The previous crises were not so critical, as there were markets on the planet not included in the common system, there was area for expansion. Now almost the entire planet lives in the capitalist paradigm, even if somewhere the economic system is called something else. All minor exceptions are so small that their absorption will not solve the problem at all. Resources for their absorption will require much more than will be received as a result.

Divide et impera

I wanted to write about inequality, but there is nothing to write about. There are tall and short, there are thin and fat. But one cannot say that some are better and some are worse. They are just different. Likewise, the smart and the stupid really exist. Likewise, there are men and women. In the same way, races really exist. But in no case should these differences be used to assert superiority. All people are equal in their dignity, but all people are different from each other. Therefore, there is nothing to talk about. All people are different, but all people are needed. It is the differences that lead to the fact that people with different experiences and different abilities complement each other. This is what our common human civilization is based on. And this is one of the sources of development.

Freedom and fairness. Part 2— The relationship in antagonism

Although now freedom and fairness appear as antagonists, in fact, there is a deep connection between them. Therefore, it is very important to find a balance, although it is very difficult.

Freedom and fairness. Part 1 — Introduction

I finally found the time to start this series of articles. The very idea of antagonism of freedom and fairness prompted me to read the blog of the Russian thinker Anatoly Nesmeyan who writes under the nickname “el_murid”. I would like to dwell in more detail on the consideration of the contradictions between these bases of human values.

Мystification. Traps in the human mind

I know that I know nothing © Socrates

Curiosity and mystification — stem from the physiology of the human brain. Evolutionarily, our brain is designed in such a way that it seeks to name and classify all objects and phenomena. This can be easily understood if you look at the children.

Hunger as a tool

This is another small introductory article before writing the main article series.

I already wrote earlier that man is a rather peaceful creature. It is both true and not true at the same time. Anthropology tells us that humans are more peaceful than apes. And this is one of the reasons for our intelligence. However, we were once even more peaceful.

Is there a freedom of choice

I’m not talking about the brain. I’m talking about an object which is put into a superposition of two places. Say it’s a speck of dust that you put into two locations at once. Now, in a small fraction of a second, it will become one or the other. Which does it become? Well, that’s a choice. Is it a choice made by the universe? Does the speck of dust make this choice? Maybe it’s a free choice. I have no idea.

Roger Penrose

The question is indeed difficult. In addition, one should try to separate the concepts of “predetermined”, “random” and “arbitrary choice”.

If everything is completely defined, then there is nothing to even talk about. Everything was predetermined at the moment of the big bang, and maybe even before it. Everything around is predetermined. Your affairs are predetermined. Even your every thought is predetermined. And the future of all things is also predetermined. There is no freedom of choice here at all. And in my opinion, such a model is suitable if the time of existence of the universe is limited. And when everything is cyclical. The universe arose, exists and disappears. At the moment of the birth of the universe, there may be some randomnicity. Although these may be higher order predestinations. Or there may not be any coincidences. The predeterminations in the new universe will flow from the predeterminations of the previous one.

The universe knows everything

When writing another article, I decided to highlight one short but important thought in a separate article. I will refer to this post frequently.

According to my current views. The universe is a unique calculator. A calculator with strict, unchanging laws. These laws can be called a computation program, but everything is much more complicated.

I note right away that I am not a supporter of the idea that our universe is an emulation. In my opinion, these ideas arise due to misinterpretation of the laws of the universe.

Hatred

I would like to reveal one very difficult topic. I tell you in advance that I don’t want to offend anyone. I just want to better understand the question of where the hatred of the arc comes from.
